Nuclear Power sources are wrong!!!
Did you know that nuclear meltdowns can cause cancer and other deceases like that because of the radiation? All around the world there are 650 Nuclear Power Plants and 200 of them have had a nuclear meltdown near-misses, (which means that there has been a close call to a nuclear meltdown) and that was just in the USA.
Nuclear Power Plants cause a thing called toxic waste. Nuclear power can cause 25 to 30 tones of toxic waste A YEAR! Toxic waste can not be used for anything. They can not burn toxic waste because it can some times explode. So how do you dispose of it then? Well, first they have to clear the site that they want to build on. Trucks transport the metal barrels to the site and then stack them in a pile and leave them there for ever.
Toxic waste is a substance that if it gets in the air, water or soil it can cause a huge affect. If it gets in the water and you drink it you may get a deadly decease, if it gets in the soil the plants will die, which is a bad thing because if enough plants die there will be less oxogen in the air. If it gets in to the air you could breath it and get cancer.
There are more efficient ways to power countries like wind turbines and water dams. They are cleaner, purer and way greener. If these power sources are used instead of using nuclear power the world would see a greener future. If these source are used in our everyday lives, it would have a huge affect on the plant.

Monday 14 March 2011 Dear Mr Diver, I think that your idea of having an extended morning tea was an awesome idea. Our school is well behaved and I think we have the right attitude to have an extended morning tea again. I think we deserve it. I strongly believe that if we have a longer morning tea we will be able to go in to the class with a fresh start. I can think of so many things that an extended morning tea is good for. Like if the kids get outside for longer they will have more time to clear their brains and get ready for their next lesson. Theirs an up side for teachers as well.
In my opinion, I think if the kids get out their their will be more time to use up all your energy to kick a ball around or walk around clearing your minds. If we have a longer morning tea we will be able to socialise with more people and make friends. When you were a kids you would have liked more time to hang out with your friends, wouldn’t you? Walking around the school twice isn’t enough time to finish a conversation with your friends. We deserve a Friday every fort night for a longer morning tea.
Teachers can get a bigger break and don’t have to see us kids for even more time. They could have more coffee and finish work without saying shut up every minute. Teachers can relax in second block because they would have done all their work. Thank you
Yours Sincerely,
Jordan RossWell argued Jordan. Your writing has really improved. Keep up the good work :-)Mum
